About Andréa
Andréa Mallard serves as the Global Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Pinterest. She joined the company in 2018 and oversees a broad “super-function” that encompasses Pinterest’s marketing, communications, research and insights, and product design functions.
Together, teams under Mallard’s oversight have conceived and implemented many of Pinterest’s most business-driving initiatives—including Pinterest Predicts, our annual trend forecast, and Pinterest Presents, our annual advertiser summit—as well as marketing efforts that helped Pinterest reach more than half a billion monthly active users worldwide and over $4 billion in revenue. She draws on her years of strategic marketing leadership, including in her previous role as Chief Marketing Officer at Gap Inc.’s apparel brand Athleta.
A true believer in Pinterest’s unique ability to inspire journeys of discovery, Mallard uses Pinterest for everything from finding the perfect focaccia recipe to coming up with ideas for building a holiday gingerbread house, a beloved end-of-year tradition with her daughters.
She holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics and English Literature from Queens University.
