Pinterest launches Creator Fund in the UK to elevate under-represented creators

Creating a more inclusive space online means increasing the investment to support the work of creators from groups with a lower representation on the internet. Following last year’s launch in the US, Pinterest is today expanding its Creator Fund to two new markets, the UK and Brazil.
Pinterest’s Creator Fund is a program to uplift creators from historically marginalized communities, including Black, LGBTQIA+, Asian, Indigenous people and people with disabilities. Investing finances and resources into training, educating and supporting creators, is part of Pinterest’s ongoing work to make the platform an inclusive and inspiring place.
In an extended effort to drive long standing representation for the LGBTQIA+ community, the UK Creator Fund will initially focus on LGBTQIA+ creators who create fashion and beauty-related content. Pinterest will select LGBTQIA+ creators to participate in an intimate five week programme of educational sessions to get set up for long-term success, including content creation, access to the creator community and connection to monetisation opportunities.
