With summer entertaining underway and the 4th of July holiday right around the corner, we took a look across the U.S. to see what Pinners are cooking up for their patriotic parties. Turns out, no matter where you live, everyone is planning for red, white and blue celebrations and turning to Pinterest to help find the perfect recipe. 

We looked into summer food trends on Pinterest in the lead up to the 4th of July to find the top recipes per region in the U.S. as well as the areas where we’re most similar. In fact, regardless if you’re from a right or left swinging state state, 83% of top 100 searches so far this year are identical¹, and ultimately, we all enjoy BBQ the same. 

Californians, Idahoans, people who hail from Connecticut and Alabama alike are searching for many of the same types of 4th of July ideas.
