At Pinterest, supporting mental health is foundational to the way we work and to the communities we serve—both online and offline. In October, our global community came together to honor World Mental Health Day, not just as a date on the calendar, but as a springboard for a month-long celebration of wellbeing, giving and connection.
To mark World Mental Health Day (October 10), our Impact Ambassador Network coordinated in-person and remote volunteer events across major Pinterest offices and for employees around the globe.

Throughout October, employees volunteered in partnership with local nonprofits that champion mental health and holistic wellbeing, including many of our Impact Partners like Cam Kirk Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, Our Own in Los Angeles, and SOAR in Dublin, as well as other community-based organizations in cities spanning London, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Toronto, Tokyo, and more. Local events ranged from assembling wellness care packages and painting wall art for local hospital rooms to facilitating youth workshops focused on wellness, inspiration and belonging.
“The month-long series of events in London truly embodied the spirit of collective care and connection. From the laughter at WCL Mind’s Comedy Night to the quiet focus of our gardening volunteer session, we saw our team prioritize their wellbeing and rally together to support vital mental health and wellbeing-focused organizations in London. It was a powerful reminder that taking time to destress and foster community can make a tangible difference in the lives of those impacted by mental health challenges.”

Recognizing our global team, Pinterest also made remote volunteering accessible to all through Kynd Kits. These at-home kits equipped employees to assemble youth and teen mental health care packages, which we donated to our Impact Partners working directly with young people in the U.S. and Dublin. This remote volunteering empowered employees to make a difference, regardless of location—and underscored our commitment to inclusive, flexible impact. Some teams got together in person to assemble kits, while others joined a virtual session hosted by Pinterest’s Chief People Officer, Doniel Sutton.
Beyond volunteering, Pinterest celebrated and acknowledged the importance of mental health through a calendar of internal wellbeing workshops, a leadership panel discussion and community moments led by our PinAble employee resource group. Employees connected, recharged and prioritized self-care together. In the spirit of collective care, every employee also received a special wellness stipend—proof that wellness isn’t just an initiative, but a core part of our culture.
