About Doniel

Doniel Sutton joined Pinterest as Chief People Officer in 2024. Sutton’s leadership focuses on ensuring Pinterest remains a flexible, fulfilling and future-oriented place to work that attracts and retains top talent from a wide range of backgrounds and reflects Pinterest’s values of positivity and fostering belonging. She oversees Pinterest’s global talent teams, including human resources strategy, talent management, total rewards, recruiting, and inclusion and belonging. 

Previously, she was the Chief People Officer at Alteryx, where she led all human resource functions including talent strategy, total rewards, talent acquisition, development, culture, and inclusion and belonging. Prior to that, she served as Chief People Officer for Fastly, a high-growth software platform, and held various roles at PayPal, including Senior Vice President of People where she led all functional areas of human resources in support of the global workforce.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
