To kick off the 2025 festival season in style, Pinterest is announcing its second annual partnership with Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Fans are invited to step into a world of inspiration in the desert—then explore, try on and remix the trends that will rule the grounds this festival season on Pinterest.
Weekly Pinterest users are likely to attend multiple music festivals,1 and they’re using Pinterest to plan and shop their fits. Pinterest searches for “Coachella aesthetic outfit” are up 769% since last year,2 and 20% of Gen Z weekly users cite “planning and shopping for new outfits” as one of the top three things they enjoy most about attending festivals.3
In partnership with Coachella, Pinterest is announcing:
This festival season’s top beauty and fashion trends, as predicted by Pinterest’s expert trend forecasters and based on user search data.
A live installation at Coachella, designed in partnership with designer and creative director Ramisha Sattar, where fans can immerse themselves in a world of Pinterest trends and collages, then try out the trends with the help of on-site stylists and makeup artists.
Pinterest’s Pop Culture profile which will serve as a digital hub for fashion and beauty inspiration all festival season long.
“Searches for Coachella start spiking at the beginning of the year on Pinterest and nearly half of those searches are driven by Gen Z,” said Sara Pollack, VP of Global Consumer Marketing at Pinterest. “This gives us an early peek into what trends are likely to pop this festival season. We’re excited to help festival-goers put a new spin on their identity by exploring and shopping the trends on Pinterest, and to give Coachella fans the opportunity to create an aesthetic all their own at the festival with our stylists and trend experts.”
Gen Z is in a constant state of reinvention, never satisfied with fitting into one stereotype. They’re all-in on individuality, and they’re flocking to Pinterest to explore and refine their personal style—more than 40% of Pinterest’s monthly users are Gen Z.4
During both weekends of Coachella (April 11–13 and April 18–20), Pinterest is inviting attendees to step into an immersive space inspired by this year’s top festival trends and Pinterest’s collage feature, an interactive tool that lets users cut out objects from their favorite Pins to create one-of-a-kind moodboards they can share with friends. Gen Z makes up 72% of collage creators on the platform,5 inspiring this year’s theme: Remix yourself on Pinterest. Designed and imagined by Chappell Roan’s creative director, Ramisha Sattar, the installation will offer attendees the opportunity to bring to life their favorite festival trends with the help of fashion stylists and makeup artists.
Upon entering the space, visitors will be immersed in festival trends brought to life through interactive installations. In the styling area, on-site stylists will help visitors remix their look with trend-inspired upgrades and accessories before heading to the photo studio to have their portrait taken by a professional photographer. This photo will be added to one of Ramisha’s collages, allowing them to become part of the artwork.
“I use Pinterest for inspiration on so many of my creative projects. I love to use Pinterest as a tool to curate and explore things that inspire me!” said Ramisha Sattar. “I am excited to partner with Pinterest on bringing their Coachella space to life through collage art.”
Pinterest users start searching for Coachella inspiration on the platform as early as January, and Gen Z accounts for 45% of all Coachella-related searches.7 Using our data-driven trendspotting methodology, our culture experts analyzed tens of millions of searches related to performers, outfits, hair and makeup to find the top trending looks set to dominate festival grounds this season.
Coachella is the perfect stage for festival-goers to express their most creative, authentic selves. With looks inspired by everything from the performer lineup (Main Pop Girl) to nostalgic throwbacks (Freestyle Fits), this year’s trends show that attendees are ready to make bold statements that redefine festival fashion. Inspiring Pinterest’s on-the-ground activation at Coachella, festival-goers are remixing popular aesthetics and blending styles to create fresh fashion mash-ups like Dark Ethereal and Pastel Goth.
